The festival will be lead in lovely and famous Black sea resort Sunny beach, which is on the shore of large and marvelous bay.

The festival “WE- XXI Century” is traditional festival, and may be is the oldest festival in Bulgaria. The organizers can guarantee professional technical services, high level of organized concerts and high level of services to participants. At this moment only Art Center “Karnolsky” can suggest that kid services in the sphere of children and youth international activities, Art Center “Karnolsky” is a pioneer organization, that make, organize and lead international activities for children and youth of large dimensions!

I. AIMS OF FESTIVAL

XIX International festival of arts “We – XXI century” are organized of Art Center “Karnolsky” in partnership with International academy of arts “Europe” and under the patronage of Ministry of culture – National center of music and dance and Ministry of education and science Republic Bulgaria.

The aims of festival are to give to participants in festival opportunities to present their own culture, arts and traditions, and also to contribute to friendly terms between participants with different ethnical and religious belonging.

II. TERMS FOR PARTICIPANTS

  1. In festival “We – XXI century” can take part children and youths art formations and soloists. Everyone who wants to take part in festival must to fill and to send to organizers Application form, which is in the end of the present offer.
  2. Permissible age of participants is 21 years.
  3. In the festival “We – XXI century” can take part participants exceed permissible age, after application from them and by the estimation of the organizers.
  4. Permissible genres – there is no limits and restriction: vocal, dance, folklore, circus, majorette formations groups, orchestras, hip-hop, break dance formations, demonstrations of east martial arts and all others.
  5. The groups take part in 2 concerts (with one performance in each concert), durations of 1 performance (feature) is lasting up to 4 min. These terms are treatment of every kind of stage performance.
  6. Vocal soloists take part in ONE CONCERT with ONE PERFOMANCE lasting up to 3 min.
  7. During the festival there is a possibility to organize exhibition, depending on work of arts of participants.
  8. Up to 15 of April 2011 year, participants in Festival and contests must to send to adress of Art Center „Karnolsky”:
    • 2 art photos on CD/ or by e-mail;
    • Demo video of group/soloist on DVD (or to send us web address, where can be seen performance of group/soloist)
    • Audio record of group/soloist on CD / МP3 by e-mail
  9. During the festival will be carry out workshops in different direction, planer for children and youth – artists and competitions for vocal soloist and groups, competitions for dance groups, majorette formations and Brass orchestras.
  10. Applications Forms for competitions, which will be lead within the frameworks of Festival “We –XXI century” must be send separately for each competitions.
  11. Participants in Festival are not obliged to take part in competitions.
  12. Participants in competitions take part in festival concerts and activities.
  13. It doesn’t admit soloist to be member of formation /group
  14. Participants take diplomas, film for festival (after the festival). The organizers provide for free time of participants different kind of entertainments: carnivals, discotheques, competition “Miss and Mister Festival” and others.

III. COMPETITIONS

During the festival days 23-30.06.2011 year will be lead following competitions:

  • “SONG MAGIC” - Competition for vocal performers of pop-song – soloists and vocal groups
  • “MAGIC VOICES” – Competition for choirs and vocal ensambles
  • “DANCE MAGIC” – Competition for dance formations
  • “MAGIC ORCHESTRA” – Competition for Brass orchestras

“SONG-MAGIC” – competition for vocal performers of pop-songs – soloists

Categories: The participants are classified in 4 age categories, as follows:

  1. age category - up to 10 years old (inclusive)
  2. age category - from 11 to 13 years old (inclusive)
  3. age category - from 14 to 17 years old (inclusive)
  4. age category - from 18 to 25 years old (inclusive)

Requirements:

  1. Participants, taking part in this competition, perform 2 songs by their choice (for III and IV age categories songs must be on different languages)
  2. The songs will be performed a live with an accompaniment of the performer’s choice.
  3. If the record has additional voices they are not allowed to repeat the main melody.
  4. The subject of songs must be corresponding with the ages of participant, and not to be opposed to ethnical, religious, race and other indication.
  5. Duration of 1 performed song:
    • I and II category – lasting up to 3:00minutes
    • III and IV category – lasting up to 4:00 minutes

Judgment:The performances of participants in competition “SONG –MAGIC” will be judge be commission, made by prominent European experts. The judgment will be based on following criteria:

  • Vocal performance
  • Interpretation
  • Stage costume
  • Stage manners, suitable with the age of the performers

In all age categories jury award First, Second and Third Place, and also Special Award for artistic, youngest participant and other.

The Jury awards the GRAND PRIX on the name of founder of Festivals on Art Center “Karnolsky” – the composer DIMITAR KARNOLSKY only to participants with exceptional artistic level!

Participation fee for competition (pays only from participants, who already have permit for taking part in competition):50 €. (this fee does not include fee for Festival and accommodation)

Prices: Diplomas and gifts

“MAGIC VOICES” – Competition for choirs and vocal ensambles

Categories: The participants are classified in 2 age categories, as follows:

  1. age category - up to 15 years old (inclusive)
  2. age category - from 16 to 21 years old (inclusive)

The group must be from more than 7 members.

Requirements:

  1. Participants in this competition perform 2 songs by their choices.
  2. The songs will be performed live a’capella
  3. The subject of songs must be corresponding with the ages of participant, and not to be opposed to ethnical, religious, race and other indication.
  4. Duration of 1 song must be lasting up to 4 minutes.

Judgment:The performances of participants in competition “MAGIC VOICES” will be judge be commission, made by prominent European experts. The judgment will be based on following criteria:

  • Vocal performance
  • Interpretation
  • Stage costume
  • Stage manners, suitable with the age of the performers.

In all age categories jury award First, Second and Third Place, and also Special Award for artistic, youngest participant and other.

“DANCE- MAGIC”- Competition for dance formations/groups

Categories:The members in one formation/group must be more than 8. Участниците в една формация не трябва да са по-малко от 8. The formations/ groups are separated in 2 age categories:

  1. age category - up to 15 years old (inclusive)
  2. age category - from 16 to 21 years old (inclusive)

And will be competing in following nominations / categories, genre, style /:

  • folklore dance
  • modern dance (in this nomination will compete all formations/groups, which are not in genre folklore
  • Break-dance formations
  • majorette formations

Requirements:

  1. The participants in this competition perform 2 dances, with accompaniment by their choices.
  2. Durations of 1 dance must be lasting up to 4 minutes.
  3. The subject of performances must be corresponding with the ages of participant, and not to be opposed to ethnical, religious, race and other indication.

Judgment:The performances of participants in competition “DANCE -MAGIC” will be judge be commission, made by prominent European experts. The judgment will be based on following criteria:

  • Technique and complexity of performance
  • Originality of the choreography
  • Stage costume
  • Stage manners, suitable with the age of the performers

In all age categories jury award First, Second and Third Place, and also Special Award for artistic, youngest participant and other.

The Jury awards the GRAND PRIX on the name of founder of Festivals on Art Center “Karnolsky” – the composer DIMITAR KARNOLSKY only to participants with exceptional artistic level!

Participation fee for competition: (pays only from participants, who already have permit for taking part in competition): 50 €.For each dance group (this fee does not include fee for Festival and accommodation)

“MAGIC ORCHESTRA” – Competition for Brass orchestra

Categories:The participants are separated in 2 age categories:

  1. age category - schools orchestras
  2. age category - students orchestras

Requirements:

  1. The participants in this competition perform 2 musical composition
  2. Duration of one composition must be lasting up to 5 minutes
  3. The musical compositions, which will be perform are by participants choice, but must be corresponding with the ages of participant, and not to be opposed to ethnical, religious, race and other indication.

Judgment: The performances of participants in competition “MAGIC ORCHESTRA” will be judge be commission, made by prominent European experts. The judgment will be based on following criteria:

  • Perform mastery
  • Complexity of musical compositions
  • Interpretation
  • Ingenious of perform

In all age categories jury award First, Second and Third Place, and also Special Award for artistic, youngest participant and other.

The Jury awards the GRAND PRIX on the name of founder of Festivals on Art Center “Karnolsky” – the composer DIMITAR KARNOLSKY only to participants with exceptional artistic level!

Participation fee for competition:(pays only from participants, who already have permit for taking part in competition): 50 €. For each orchestra (this fee does not include fee for Festival and accommodation)

IV. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS

Technical service during the Festival „We –XXI century”, is provide from Musical Company “SILVIA MISIC”which dispose of the best equipments for sounds and lights in Bulgaria - http://www.silvia-music.com/

The organizers give up 8 microphones (4 of them are radio) during the festival.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS: Music must be record on CD (audio format) with perfect quality of sound

V. ACCOMMODATION

Participants in festival will be accommodated in HOTEL “KONTINENTAL 3-4” **

The hotel is on 50 m from the beach, on first line of resort.
    Rooms are with 3 beds with private WC and showers.
    On the hotel territory there is swimming pool, restaurant, lobby bar,children ground and hall for activities.
    Feeding – 4 times at day /breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner/ on buffet

ATTENTION:

Participants are accommodated after 14 o’clock, after they pay the rest of fee for participant and give up to organizers full list with names and dates of births of all persons, who come with group.
    In the departure day the rooms must be vacate rooms / apartments up to 12 o’clock a.m.

VI. PARTICIPANT FEE FOR FESTIVAL

198€ per children up to 16 years old * and 220 € per adult person

This sum is per 1 person and includes: technical securitization of festival (stenography, sounds, lights, making TV film, cover preliminary preparation of Festival, circumstances for creative meetings);
    Accommodation in Hotel “Kontinental 3-4”** 7 nights, with feeding 4 times at day (breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner) on buffet, resort fee .
For groups of 20 people, the 21-st will participate gratis

*everyone, who is 16 years old to the beginning of festival, is considered for adult

VII. INVITATION

To receive an official invitation, which will facilitate the obtaining of visas for the Republic of Bulgaria you must promptly send us: a list of the passengers (performers, managers, companions, bus drivers) with their full names, dates of birth and the valid passport numbers, also post address, on which will be send invitation not late from 1 of April 2011 year. By your choice invitation may be send by:

  • ordinary post services
  • courier DHL / the costs are covered by the participants

VIII. TRANSPORT

Every participant should tend to his own transport to and from the places of accommodation. The transfers from the airports, railway stations, etc. to the places of accommodation and the return are carried out by the organizers on preliminary request from the participants. The amount of the transfer depends on the place of arrival and departure and on the number of persons.

Excursion:During the festival days is possible to be organized varied excursions in different towns and land marks of Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, and also inside of the country.

If the participants in festival have wish and made preliminary applications, can be organized excursions to other different picturesque parts of the sunny Bulgarian country.

IX. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION

Applications for taking part in the Festival “WE – XXI century” and in the competition during the festival will be admitted until 15 of April 2011 year on address:

After the transfer of that amount please send a fax or an e-mail with a copy of the bank document for the transfer made.

ATTENTION:

In case of annulations of application, which is connect with reservation in hotel, by owing to circumstances beyond our control, the deposit amounting to 30 % would not be returned . The rest part of the payment is paying in the arrival day, before accommodation in the hotel. After indicated dates for application and after depletion of hotel base, condition for participation are negotiate in addition with everyone, who wants to take part in Festival.

X. GENERAL TERMS

  1. Application forms will be admitted only with a fully-filled form for participation, attached to the present offer and materials sent by e-mail or regular mail, reflecting the performances of everyone who wishes to participate! On the arrival the participants are required to submit a copy of the present offer, declaration of rights and list with names and date of births of all persons, who came to Bulgaria.
  2. The leaders of groups are responsible for eventual accidents and contusions of the participants during their performances on stage, as well as during their whole stay in Bulgaria.
  3. Participants and accompanying persons must to have Health insurance
  4. The leaders of groups are responsible for the behavior of the members of their art groups during the Festival
  5. The participants are responsible for their costumes, stage properties and personal belongings
  6. The artistic and business contacts on the territory of Republic Bulgaria are made exclusively from Art Center Karnolsky. The participants must sign a Declaration with which they grant the rights on the AUDIO and VIDEO recordings for the aims of the festival and the competitions that are held as part of it. Festival concerts will be broadcast over the ether, satellites and cable TV in Bulgaria
  7. The organizers reserve their right to take pictures, to register and to distribute the performances from the program of the competitions and the festival without paying for rights or compensations.
  8. The juries and the organizers reserve the right to decide which of those who have won First places in the competitions, along with the most attractive participants in the festival, will participate in the Gala concert, as well as with which part of the program they will present themselves.
  9. The prize GRAND PRIX will be bestowed on the decision of the juries and with the consent of the organizers to an artistic group or to a soloist that have participated in the competitions and have distinguished themselves with a brilliant performance and exclusive artistic level.
